Unions were originally intended to protect the working class so they could earn a fair wage. I wish that were still true. It's become about politics an palm-greasing and now who can get the most stimulus money for public jobs and screw the mom & pop businesses that could really put people to work. Now I hear there's a new "unemployment health insurance" tax being imposed on businesses on top of every other tax. It's shameful.

If you want more "Big Dig" projects, vote for Martha. If you think people should be encouraged to, rather than discouraged from, starting a business and being prosperous (you know, the "American Dream"???) vote for Scott.

Bring back the American Dream Scott, you're our man!

Dan, I work with a union as well, and I have given up raise after raise after raise as well as my co-workers so that we could keep our healthcare. We have given up many other benefits as well, again to keep our healthcare reasonable, the so called "cadillac" plan. Well, look at it now, our health care plan is going to be taxed 40%, the cadillac plan providers are going to be taxed back to the future, possibly eliminating them altogether, medical supplies are going to be taxed through the roof. I can't believe that unions are behind Martha Coakley, because it seems over the past few years, democrats have done zero for the unions, nothing.

Yet, the unions blindly endorse democrats, and for what? What possibly have they done for unions? I can only wish that union members vote with their minds and not with their "unions".

From Fathers and Families:
Distinct Differences Among Senate Candidates

The three candidates hoping to fill the US Senate seat of the late Teddy Kennedy have distinctly different records on some of the issues of concern to Fathers and Families members. In alphabetical order, the candidates’ records are given.

Scott Brown Shared Parenting: As a member of the Massachusetts legislature for over five years, Senator Brown has clearly supported a presumption of shared parenting after divorce. In fact, he was a co-sponsor of Fathers and Families’ HB 1460, a bill which calls for just such a presumption. As a child of divorce, he also has supported shared parenting in conversations with me. Members may recall that Brown spoke at a Fathers and Families meeting a few years ago.
Restraining Order Abuse: We are not aware that Senator Brown has taken any public position on the abuse of restraining orders.
Gerald Amirault Parole: We are not aware that Senator Brown has taken any public position on this issue (see below for a description of this matter.)
Martha Coakley
Shared Parenting: We are unaware that Attorney General Coakley has taken any position concerning shared parenting. We phoned her campaign headquarters requesting information, but so far have not received a return call. Should we receive a response, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Restraining Order Abuse: Coakley has been a supporter of current restraining order policies as Middlesex County District Attorney from 1999 to 2007 and as Attorney General since 2007. She has also supported mandatory prosecution of restraining order violations, even when those violations are trivial, unintentional, or harmless.

I appeared on the Greater Boston television show with Coakley and hostess Emily Rooney, as well as a member of Fathers and Families who had been the victim of a questionable restraining order. His ex-wife had invaded his home without invitation and had begun rummaging through the contents. Our member called the police to have her escorted out. They did so, but our member ended up as the recipient of a restraining order for this incident. Then-Attorney General Coakley defended restraining order policies on the show, and did not acknowledge the need for any changes.
Gerald Amirault Parole: Amirault was convicted of preposterous child sexual abuse charges in the 1980’s in the notorious Fells Acre Case. He was imprisoned for many years. In 2001, the Massachusetts Parole Board stated, “It is clearly a matter of public knowledge that, at the minimum, real and substantial doubt exists concerning petitioner’s conviction.”

Indeed, it is hard to know how anyone could be convicted of raping a young girl with a two-foot butcher knife without leaving any injuries, or of tying naked children to trees within view of a highway and visitors to the childcare center. But Coakley lobbied hard and persistently to keep Amirault in prison to avoid embarrassing the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office that had originally prosecuted him. As a result of her efforts, Amirault spent three more years in jail until he was finally paroled during the Romney administration.
Joe KennedyWe are unaware of any public position by Mr. Kennedy on any of the three issues listed above. His campaign manager promised to ask Mr. Kennedy his positions, and we will report those if and when we get a response.

Dan, Coakley is a Washington rubber stamp. She'll do what she's told by the Democrat Leadership. She may as well be Martha Coakley (E)......for Emily's List.

I trust Scott to be our independent voice to do the right thing standing up for the Middle Class cause he understands and identifies with those struggling working for a living. He'd rather see you keeping more of your hard earned money providing for you and your family than it going to government.

I am a union employee with a health care plan that I have taken pay cuts year after year to keep. With the new health care they are going to tax this. Another thing I think in debate number 2 that really made me not like Coakley was when they were talking about constituents and she said she would listen to us and still vote the way she feels. The lady has a real problem I am sick and tired of people telling me whats good for me. As of Jan 1 I am making less than I made Dec 31 my fed payroll tax went up. I am middle class what the heck happened.

I live in Andover and have seen only 2 Coakley signs.

My request to Scott......whatever you do keep on the offensive. No apologies or explanations--keep doing what you're doing no matter how negative Coakley's ads are The citizenry is tired of government spending bankrupting the country, government encroaching on the private sector, job loss, income loss, weak national defense, and being lorded over by elitist, arrogant, and condescending politicians who represent us but don't listen to us. Keep talking those issues up, Scott, and point out how Martha perpetuates the problems.

Closing line as you've stated....."If you like how Washington's working vote for Martha, if not vote for me." Would help with Jews to remind them you're concerned Coakley would support Obama policies of kicking our reliable friend and ally while cozying up to those wishing us harm.

After you win Tuesday my wife wants you to run for president.

Dear Lance:

You are right on point on so much you say,, and I agree with just about everything, most especially, on term limits and that Coakley is an enemy "of the people". I do disagree with you on Gulianni who had good policies but a dark side that I'm sure hurt many.

But one thing you need to know is that I'm celebrating Brown's victory on Tuesday, not Thursday, and we need everyone to be sure to VOTE ON TUESDAY, Jan. 19th for the "2nd shot heard around the world."

Someone said to me today "oh I forgot you are a republican right, so that's why you are voting for Brown?". I explained that yes I have always leaned towards the common sense party but I do tend to be at odds with both parties on many issues but this election to me goes far beyond party lines. I am not voting for Scott Brown because he is a republican and was originally planning on voting for him solely because he is not Martha Coakley but after learning more about him, I now plan on voting for him because he's the best candidate for any post, that I've seen in the state of MA in a long, long time. I DVR'ed the debate the other night and in my opinion, Coakley got crushed because her double talk was clearly exposed.
Regardless of party lines I find Coakley's campaign ads to be flat out offensive because they are filled with blatant lies, just like everything she did or tried to do as AG. She touts her regulation of the financial institutions but the rules and regulations that she imposed on the industry were absurd and were designed only to help the banks while screwing the consumer. I saw this first hand in the real estate financing industry, where you would impose different guidelines that ended up screwing everyone including the banks that she was trying to assist. Almost ever single regulation that she forced on the financial industry was eventually overturned and most of which were thrown out within six months of being implemented.
Coakley on dozens of occasions, clearly demonstrated that she has little to no understanding of how the financial and real estate industries actually work. I am not saying that Coakley didn't do anything good but the problem is that she did far more damage than she has done good since becoming AG. She clearly does not understand the security risks that we face as a nation and for her to claim that Brown is in lockstep with Washington republicans is insane since she is clearly a Democratic Party Puppet and it seems that she cannot come up with any independent thought that will help our state.
The thing that disgusts me the most is the way that this election is being handled and the clear fact that this election is in direct correlation with the passing of a health care reform bill that the American people do not want and view as at the very bottom of the priority list. Health care reform was not even considered to be an issue until President Obama forced it into the spotlight, and I have no doubt that his reasoning behind this is for not other reason than to draw attention away for the issues that are most important and he is incapable of dealing with.
The tiny tidbits that we've actually seen from this Health Care proposal are just asinine and going to cost a fortune. The economy has gotten steadily worse since the Democrats took control of the senate three years ago but since last January the problem has exploded and shows no signs of stopping. The only analysts that have stated that the economy is improving are directly related to the current administration but none of them want that to be known.

I am disgusted with our leadership right now, when Kennedy died they were some how able to just appoint another democrat to the position that 98 out of 100 MA resident does not even know by name. They did this so that they could maintain the majority vote for their insane health care bill, now they force a quick special election so that they cannot lose anymore ground prior to this election and hopefully not allow Scott Brown or any other non-democrat candidate to get the attention needed in order to get elected. WELL GUESS WHAT DEM'S, THE PEOPLE IN MA INCLUDING MANY DEMS HAVE FINALLY WOKEN UP AND BECOME AWARE OF WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND US. No one will say it because he just died but I will, Kennedy stole our money for thirty years and used it for nothing other than furthering the Democrats agenda which tends to change every couple of years because they can't even agree with one another.
I'm so sick of weakling leaders that are filled with cowardice, I love the fact that Brown is a military man. It's also amazing that Brown is getting endorsements from police officers when Coakley is the head cop in this state, that speaks volumes to me.
During the debate the other night Coakley was referring to Health Care reform and stated that it has overwhelming support and is the will of the people, I almost fell off of my chair. Coakley clearly does not care about anything other than her party and these comment highlighted that fact since there isn't a single poll in this country showing more than 40% support even is the most liberal of places. I am a chatterbox and will and do talk to just about anyone, since the health care debate came into play I have not met a single person that supports this or thinks that it should be anywhere other than the very bottom of the priority list.
Our economic problems are really an easy fix but this government has no understanding of how the industries driving the downturn actually work. I sit at my computer and often times I put ideas on paper regarding the economic fix and the fact is that we have unlimited options on how to fix these problems and I've come up with hundreds of ways to create jobs, create new wealth (rather than spreading it around, ggrrrr!) and not one of my ideas would cost the taxpayers a dime. That's what our leadership should be focusing on, not 2000 page bills that no one has read or understands and once they are passed we never see anything come out of them. This is because there are no plans attached to these bills, only a price tag so I guess the term "bill" is true to form since that is all the recovery plans have been thus far, a large "bill" stuck to the American people and by "bill" I mean like the one you would get at a bar but the only difference is that the bills from the government provide no service.
Scott was going to get my vote anyway but he's really won me over recently and Coakley even though I already disliked her and believed her to be incompetent from the start but after listening to all that she has to say, I now despise her as well.
Scott Brown is a breath of fresh air!

Side note: I heard some moonbat on the radio today making critical comments of Brown but it was the typical Democrat baseless attack that has nothing to do with the issues at hand. This caller's exact words were "what has Scott Brown done, nothing! He just married into money!" This was just another typical hypocritical liberal opinion, especially since just prior to making these statement he voiced his support for John Kerry-Hienz, lol! Kerry has literally done nothing but steal from us and not even just from us, he has stolen from our soldiers to build a library for Kennedy when we already have a kennedy library in MA. They could have just added a wing to the JFK library but that's not good enough for Kerry. The people voiced major opposition to including this money in the military budget so he never mentioned it again and the fervor died down but when the defense budget came out, guess who got the money for his library? The vast majority of MA resident have no idea that he was able to sneak that through.

I will do anything I can to help get Brown elected and I only want one thing from him in return. I want him to live up to his promises, achieve at least some of his goals and help to get that joke of a jr. senator john kerry, out of office in Nov.!

Let's take back our state people so get out there and vote next thursday.

By the way, I spoke with more than a dozen people today and about two thirds of them had no idea that there was an election coming next thursday. It seems to me that the liberals want to be sure that the voter turn out is miniscule. Today I have four different people that after some pushing are trying to get registered to vote in time because they all want to vote for Brown, albeit, I may have had something to do wit swaying them in the right direction.

Good luck Scott, we can get you elected but you had better do right by us or it will turn the tide against us in the November elections.

The number one reason that I truly like Scott Brown for Senate is because he is the only candidate that I've seen that supports TERM LIMITS! This has been a very important issue to me for a long time because without term limits MA has been not only a monopoly but a monarchy, led by the most corrupt family in the world, the Kennedy's.

Go Get'em Scott! I wish I was a campaign manager, I have no idea how to get to that position but I would love it and if I were a campaign manager I would have wanted to run Rudy Guiliani's presidential campaign and I think we could have beaten Obama. Rudy's campaign was pathetic and he was the most viable republican candidate.

Brown's campaign has been run well but they are going up against a well oiled machine. The TV ads are decent but most people hate campaign ads from all sides because they never tell the whole truth about anything. We are in the information age so the cheapest and farthest reaching campaign tool is the internet. I stumbled upon Brown's campaign website but the traffic could be increased ten fold is marketed properly and it would save the campaign millions in the end.

This morning I made a poster sign in Brown's support and displayed it in my window which is in clear view of the train station and center of town. I've been pitching Mr. Brown all week but we really need to get the word out that the vote is next thursday because I've found that most people in MA don't think they have to vote on this until next Nov.

Next Thursday can be a major step towards bringing this country back to greatness and we can begin by losing this Obama attitude where personal responsibility is a thing of the past and the ideas that the several recent terrorist attacks are a whole lot more than "isolated incidents".

Help us Scott, I joined your volunteer squad today and would be willing to do whatever it takes to get you in and bar Coakley from the building. Coakley is the enemy of the people!
