The editorial "Coakley's Convictions" in the Jan. 14 Wall Street Journal is a scathing expose of Ms. Coakley's role in prolonging the gross miscarriage of justice known as the "Fells Acres" case. In case you don't recall it, the opinion piece sets forth the whole sorry episode in full factual detail. In my opinion, it's a modern reprise of the Salem "witch trials." Ms. Coakley now says that it happened before her time and she had nothing to do with it. The editorial clearly demonstrates that she had very much to do with it, and suggests that she is willing, perhaps eager, to put politics before justice. It is long, but if you click the "printer friendly" version, and print it at 70% zoom, it fits on two letter size sheets. If you are going door to door, you might want to bring some copies, one page, double sided, which can't cost much. You can also e-mail this link http://online.wsj.com/articleSB100014240527487042812045750033416406... to all of your friends, especially those who might be going to vote for Ms. Coakley simply because she's a Democrat. Most Democrats I know, including the one I married, wouldn't vote for someone who condones destruction of innocent people's lives for political gain. A link to the original editorial is featured in an earlier blog. If the links don't still work, just Google Wall Street Journal and go to opinion. I'm going to hold signs at the polls Tuesday, and I'll have a ream of reprints with me. You should too.
