The Republican City Committee of Boston is Back

Hello Fellow MA Conservatives

If Massachusetts is the Bluest State in the country then Boston is definitely the Bluest City in the Country. However, we are trying to change that. On Tuesday, November 4th, the first meeting of the Republican City Committee of Boston came to order after a 5-year absence. The goal of the Committee is help promote good government, Republican ideals and getting Republican candidates elected to public office.

The influx of young, conservative residents to Boston has brought resurgence to the city's Grand Ole Party. In the past 6 months, members of the Greater Boston Young Republicans have organized Wards 2, 6, 7 and 20 committees. Out of the 22 Wards in Boston, 11 have been organized and having regular meetings. The Committee plans to organize the 11 remaining Wards in time for the 2010 elections.

Long time Boston resident and Republican activist Karen MacNutt was voted in as President and Young Republican Brad Williams was selected as Vice President. Also, veteran activist David Trumbull was elected Secretary and Young Republican Patrick Brennan was named Treasurer. The Committee consists of the 80 plus members of the city's 11 organized Ward committees. An executive board of 15 members will meet in open meetings on a monthly basis. Any candidates or folks wanting to attend, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Boston residents interested in joining or learning more about the Republican City Committee can contact me at Jason@BeantownGOP.com.

Jason,

I would love to have the group do a meeting phone bank at some point for Scott's campaign. As you know, Scott needs to get his name out to the people of Massachusetts and we need to have a targeted Get Out the Vote Campaign. If you wouldn't mind contacting me sometime in the next day I would love to talk more.

Sincerely,

Brad Hansen
