Scott Brown: A senator, but more importantly, a gentleman

I am an undergraduate studying to become a high school physics teacher.  My passion for teaching comes from my belief that each and every student can succeed provided the proper guidance.  No student, regardless of personal history, should ever be turned down before given a genuine chance.  I have had the privilege of teaching summer school for two years, in which I have witnessed students improve not only their grades but also their critical thinking skills.  All they truly needed were people to believe in them...

Scott Brown believes in the American citizens.  His autobiography, Against All Odds, explains his story from a childhood surrounded by challenges to an adulthood set firm in honest leadership.  Scott Brown ran for U.S. Senate because, as he said, "We can do better."  He did not intend to strike down healthcare reform and halt progress.  Instead, he entered Washington with the determination to engage both sides of the political spectrum and improve America.  Senator Brown believes that healthcare reform should be discussed, not blindly enacted or rejected.  He has repeatedly called for job creation and has spoken on behalf of legislation that he believes will help the unemployed to find work and sustain themselves.  His efforts to bring transparency to Washington politics by introducing a Tax Receipt Bill alongside Senate Democrat Bill Nelson from Florida have displayed Brown's commitment to keeping his promises from the 2010 election.

Senator Brown stands not as a politician, but as a leader.  He provides reasoning behind his decisions and makes every effort to positively influence the lives of the American citizens with his choices.  This man is a thinker.  Such a title is of great significance during the present economic conditions worldwide.

Scott Brown is not simply trying.  He is succeeding.  He has support from American citizens throughout the state of Massachusetts and beyond.  His platform is improvement.  Senator Brown makes decisions with all of us in mind.  He goes to work in Washington, but he works for all of us.
