I want to give everyone a brief campaign update. We have hired Peter Fullerton as our Political Director and I'm very excited to have Peter on board. Peter has a tremendous amount of experience working for campaigns in New England he brings a wealth of talent and knowledge to the campaign. For those of you that are interested in further understanding Senator Brown's position on key issues, we will continue to roll out his policies in the coming days and weeks. I do hope you have had the opportunity to listen to Scott speak directly to you with these videos:

The Economy And Taxes

Death Penalty

If you know of someone who would be willing to host a phone bank for our voter to voter contact please contact Brad Hansen at brad@brownforussenate.com.

Thanks so much
Beth

I agree with Brian's comments. Marketing 101 - Product Differentiation
Can you imagine a Pepsi ad campaign, "Well, at least we're not Coke!"

The burden on Scott Brown is to prove he is worthy of my vote. I already know I am not supporting Coakley. Coakley is a very capable politician and campaigner; I just do not share any of her values. Thus far, Scott Brown has not shown himself to be a capable politician and campaigner in this race and I do not have a clue where he stands on matters that are important to me.

I may not be from Missouri, but Show Me anyway!!

Beth-Thank you, that's all I can ask. However, my days of voting against someone or something are gone. I am now choosing to vote for something or someone, so to be honest If the primary message of the campaign is vote for me because I am not Martha Coakley, that's going to be a problem. I truly hope that once his positions are clearly stated and questions are answered that Scott will be the candidate we can all rally behind. Thank you again for acknowledging those of us who have been begging for more information.

Great statements on taxes, the economy and the death penalty. I want to hear him say he'll correct our "worst in th Nation" gun laws, and take a stand on Obama's running roughshod over the Constitution ! Dave Mac

We had a political meeting this morning and I know are finalizing the issues page. We also are planning a series of Town Hall meetings. So we are working on setting that schedule. We are also going to have a series of regional volunteer meetings, those are getting set asap. As a conservative you should have a reason to fight because the alternative is allowing Martha Coakley to walk right into this seat. Let me see if I can get an early final draft of the issues page and get it to you.

1st Richard-you could have taken the words from my mouth. That is exactly how I feel.

Bo-great idea.

Beth- I can only imagine the chaos especially given the short window of time. However, if you want more help getting his name out, financially and geniune grassroots support than Scott needs to clearly convey his positions with specifics at least to us for now. I am sitting on the sidelines eager to get out and help any way possible but I refuse to do it until I am sure we are not gettting another RINO. I want specifics not platitudes.

What if Scott were to do a couple of online town halls with members of the brigade so we can get our answers? Anything but more 1 minute you tube videos and tweets about where he is after the fact.

Beth,

On question one I posed above, can you give the conservatives a reason, more importantly, to get out and fight? I see Earl Sholley and Jay Fleitman going to the tea parties and other conservative meetings to energies the conservative base, will Brown do the same, in particular out this way?

Obviously we do not. We have a new media fellow who is busy helping us do our earned media communications and internet web and fundraising. He has asked us to check in nightly on the brigade and we are trying to do that. Apparently that is not nearly enough. We did have someone who I thought would be monitoring and be directed by that person but maybe I was misguided. I am happy to have help goodness knows we need to be more reactive than we have been. If you want to chat tomorrow after late morning I will be out of meetings. If you want to try me at headquarters that would be great. 781-444-0200 Beth

Beth,
Do you have someone that monitors Brown Brigade at least once every half hour? Do you need volunteers for that? I'm a web developer and my degree is in Political Science so I understand how the internet and politics complement each other. Let me know if I can help.

Beth,
We all understand about lack of time and lack of money...what I don't understand is that all of the people in the brigade want to help and they seem to be pushed aside because the staff is too busy.
Tell us what to do besides get call centers...keep us informed...Brad said on the 27th he'd start a daily update...there was no update last night....he missed the very first night! It would seem to me that there is nothing more important than making sure that all of us know Scott's positions on the issues. We can't talk to anyone else about Scott if we don't know where he stands...I know you're working on it but I don't think you have to wait until his position papers are complete. Why not take a topic or two topics a day....AND NOT YOUTUBE VIDEOS...for example, tomorrow blog Scott's position on illegal imigration is...... and Scott's position on more troops being sent to Afghanistan is...... Then on Saturday blog, Scott's position on gay marriage is..... and Scott's position on Obama's healthcare is....... It doesn't have to be every single detail, but it would at least give us some talking about to start talking to other people. It would not seem that this would be that time consuming and would certainly help get things rolling.

Beth - I understand the challenges you face with getting the word out. How can I help? I already spoke with Brad Hanson about opening my office in Wilmington to make calls on Scott's behalf. Let me put my thinking cap on and see how we can raise the money we need to get Scott elected.

If you want to talk, feel free to call me at 978-259-1283 or on my cell at 978-590-8792.
