It was Senator Scott Brown who got my family into politics. All of whom campaigned and voted for then Scott Brown. Other than voting we were apathetic about politics. Apathy or worse rules today with most people on the subject of politics. The rule is never talk about politics at social gatherings right? Government is at an all time low in public perception. Senator Brown breaks with that perception. He carries with him a sense of thoughtfulness and sincerity to the body.
Scott clearly said in his campaign and I heard him say it again last night at the Park Plaza he would do what was right for Massachusetts. Now, it is a matter of perspective if that has been the case thus far. From my common point of view he has done well. It is certain I don't agree with every vote nor will you I expect. but he has shown he cares about doing what's right for our State regardless of our individual differences.
He has a big job to do and I think he has the gravitas to succeed. The equally BIG question that remains can he defeat the opposition in 2012? I for one think he can. I think he can if he can count on the support of those who supported him the first time around. This is a new age. Scott Brown is not your fathers republican. He's cool. He has good ideas.
He and his entire family have Star Power! Rarely seen among Republicans today. That coupled with traditional values is very hard to beat in politics today. He's a keeper. My wife says he's a "Chick Magnet." She ads, "while the men look on in amazement." Senator Brown even before elected was always extremely gracious and patient. He works the crowd tirelessly posing for endless photo's.
Patricia and I attended his Fund Raiser at the Park Plaza in Boston last night. It was so much fun for us political newbies. The Brown's put on a great party and make you feel welcome. They were all there among us. Each family member aunts, uncles, and cousins were so friendly and fun. My wife and I think they are a beautiful family and represent Massachusetts very well. We had so much fun I think we'll be regulars from now on. I know we are going to invite our friends to join in the fun. The Senator was so patient and kind we got to speak with him twice it was very nice. I would recommend it to everyone the next time you get a chance to attend a Brown function you won't be sorry . I even got to meet Steve Deossi in the lobby. Great Patriot. Nice to see you Steve. I'm a big fan thanks for taking the time.
I would remind you that we need to get charged up for 2012. The oppsition will be VERY well funded and bent on unseating Senator Brown. I encourage everyone contribute something to his campaign.
