Letter to Bill Delahunt re Obamacare

Following was delivered to Cong. Delahunt's Hyannis office today 3/17:

Congressman W. Delahunt
10th District of Mass.
146 Main St.
Hyannis MA 02601

Dear Congressman:

You are about to be presented with an opportunity to end your political career honorably by voting against the health-care bill that provides for public funding of abortion.

Teddy Kennedy is dead; now you can vote your own conscience instead of his. You owe nothing more to him but everything to the unborn millions who have already suffered, and the unborn millions whose sufferings you can help prevent.

Your president has assured us that under no circumstances will taxpayers' money be used for abortion. He certainly made the statement emphatically enough, but some of us doubted that he meant it, especially given the influence of pro-death groups like Planned Parenthood in the White House.

Now in his desperation it appears that Obama no longer cares whether he will be considered a liar or not. But at least he's not a Catholic, someone who should be very aware of the moral implications of extending instead of eliminating this most diabolic of practices.

When the time comes and you stand before God - as we all must - all the "pork", cheap oil, Veterans' Centers, wireless internet, and the rest of it will count as nothing when you have to answer His question "Why?" Teddy Kennedy - who could almost single-handedly have brought the abortion industry to a grinding halt - never answered it while he had the chance, and his failure has helped bring us to where we are today.

This could be the most important vote you have ever cast. Please make it a positive one and vote against this costly atrocity.
