I have lost the home for my column through this campaign, but have gained so much more - new friends, new opportunities, and a new vision for our future. Change is scary, but sometimes you NEED change, just as our country is rising up right now and trying to change through our candidate Mr. Scott Brown. On WRKO I related my story of pulling my column from distribution after my column supporting the senator was removed from the web, but that is truly small potatoes compared to what WE will lose if Scott Brown is not sent to Washington.
As we move on through the final hours, let's begin to pray, those of us who pray. Use caution when speaking and acting on behalf of Scott Brown as we move through these last hours; the machine is big, and will turn the smallest comment into a firestorm. Use the integrity that Scott Brown is showing as you talk to people about his candidacy. Stick to issues, and "don't go there" when tempted to attack Coakley personally.
We live in the mightiest, most wonderful country in the world, a country that is a fluid ribbon of individuals who hope for simple things: a job, a home, friends, the ability to worship as they please. All of our hopes have coalesced into a movement behind a man who deserves this support, and as we move forward may God keep us safe, keep us strong, and support our candidate as he moves forward.
