BROWN CALLS ON COAKLEY TO RENOUNCE JOB-KILLING CAP AND TRADE BILL

U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown today called on his opponent Martha Coakley to drop her support for a national cap and trade bill, which will raise energy costs on businesses and consumers and kill jobs at a time when the economy is on the brink.

Yesterday, at an event with environmental groups, Coakley reaffirmed her support for cap and trade, which President Obama admitted in a 2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle will cause energy prices to skyrocket. See video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNSZ62xiD4M&feature=related

The National Association of Manufacturers predicts the loss of 2.4 million jobs by 2030 if cap and trade becomes law and residential electricity price increases of up to 50 percent. Read their report here: http://www.nam.org/NewsFromtheNAM/Press%20Releases/ERP/StatebyState...

Energy prices in the Northeast are already the highest in the nation. In September, EMC Corp., one of the region’s largest employers, announced it was adding 400 new jobs in North Carolina instead of Massachusetts because of the high cost of electricity here. See story here: http://www.boston.com/business/technology/articles/2009/09/26/emc_t...

“Cap and trade is anti-jobs and anti-growth. It would be bad for our economy and bad for working families. We all want a clean environment and we all want to reduce our dependence on carbon-based fuels, but we shouldn’t do it at the expense of jobs. I think a better idea is to pursue alternative sources of energy, including nuclear power. Massachusetts can’t afford Martha Coakley’s giant new tax on energy,” said Brown.

Rasmussen has a new poll on global warming. In addition to Cap & Trade and new EPA authority, Hillary is pledging $100 billion per year for "poor nations" which will do for the environment what the stimulus did for jobs.

I wish the hell people in this state would understand that todays democratic party is not their fathers or grandfathers democratic party, and Scott Brown ought to point that out. That todays democrat party has more in common with Karl Marx than John F. Kennedy. Not only are people in this state moving out of the state but moving out of the country. If this tax and cap and health care reform passes it will be like a 100 big digs on steroids and I don't see how any buisness would be able to stay in the country let alone state.

Predicting global temperatures in 25 years accurately to one degree is like predicting the temperature tomorrow to an accuracy of 1/10,000th of a degree. I've run computer models since the '70s (when there was global cooling), and predicting anything within 1% is really good work. Most climate analysis is, by definition, in the noise of the mathemathical calculations and assumptions. Sure, we warm the planet some, but so will the next volcanic eruption.

"Cap and Trade" is the albatross and the death bed of the American Way of Life. That bill will gravely wound the ability of the North East to recover from the recession. It will increase the hemorrhaging of jobs overseas and it will make Bay Staters leave Massachusetts in greater numbers. We will lose more jobs than many Southern states and we will die a cold Coakley death if the woman has her way. She spells trouble, on many fronts! She's a demagogue and panders to any nonsense that will hurt the vast majority of her constituents. She is the most anti-People and anti-Massachusetts candidate we've ever had in the entire history of the Commonwealth.

I just can't afford another nickle in living expenses. If Cap and Trade becomes law I will be forced into darkness. Worse, it will make me homeless.

DO NOT LET COAKLEY BACK OUT OF THE ONE ON ONE DEBATES........ GET YOUR SANE MESSAGES OUT TO THE PUBLIC

This entire Cap & Trade idea came because of Global Warming which is not scientifically proven. Look up the history of Greenland. It was once a "green land", with pastures and herds... And a cold age came. And none of these changes had anything to do with industry.

Just post how you stand on the issues in every newspaper and media outlet in the Commonwealth.
If the people are to stupid to vote for you, they don't deserve you!

Oh, the industries can also decide to terminate employment to help compensate their new "cap and trade" fees. Isn't that great! (sarcasm implied)
