Today, I gave my first speech on the Senate floor. I feel that it's time to return tax dollars back in to the pockets of American workers and provide across the board tax relief for working families.

These tax cuts have had bipartisan support in the past, and I believe that individual citizens know better on how to spend their own money. For almost 130 million American workers will benefit from these tax cuts.

You should follow your own advice.
You can't expect your peers to respect you from advising them to conduct themselves when you don't practice what you preach. Isn't there a phrase for that — poor leadership.

And for you Mark(Grandpa): What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object?
Ponder on it but not too long because whatever length of time you use will determine your IQ
We'll start from 50 and work down. The big question is how low will it go?

Sorry I derail your discussion.
I must have been drunk. Not bad typing for an inebriated graduate from USC. And I even sound lucid.
I still haven't been paid yet.
And I have to pay back my loan.

Yes, skiing is over for now.
Watch for me in four years in the next Olympics in Russia. I might even bump into Mark(Grandpa).

Dear Lindsey Vonn, in reference to your posting of "Trials and Error" regarding your support of civillian courts being used for terrorist trials. Please consider, if an elephant walked through your front yard, how many pancakes would it take to fill a canoe? The antenna of legal authority is universally undone with with feeble lunchbox skills of utopian legislative anonimity. Therefore, the walk to school is fraught with consideration for other universal emotions not often delivered with the same level of consideration. But, I digress...

Linsday (or whatever your name is, cause I don't think there is much skiiing in Malibu) I do not want terrorists tried in civilian courts. Period. A guy with explosives strapped to his genitals just tryed to fly a plane into my house for a christmas present. The flight path was right over a very dence postwar neighborhood as our Airport is to the southwest of Detroit. He not only tried to kill 300 people on that plane, but 1000's of americans and canadians on the ground. Do I want he and his buddies getting a trail here? Nope. Send them to Guantanomo and let our repected Military do the job we commisioned them with...protecting us from such fiends without restrictions. This group of kooks in the Whitehouse is makeing all of us less safe by turning interrogation and protection into a Circus for Pleasing the political Left. Perhaps you'll only change your tune when a plane crashes into your bedroom. But lets hope the Republicans can fix this mess before that happens shall we?

1789, I have never read that Cicero quote before...keep em coming and High 5! If we do not learn History we are bound to repeat it.

I can! I can! I can! I can see that these democrats=progressives=marxists in congress do not believe in compromise. They will just try to keep shoving communism down our throats. Remember who these people are Senator Brown. They will never vote with you Senator Brown. They will only vote for America destroying bills and that is not you.
Look at McCain, he is trying to get another gang of "14" to fight reconciliation. Betcha he doesn't since the democrats=progressives=marxists have no interest in it this time. So much for compromise. Even if he does, it is irrelevant.
Reconciliation is a red herring. If the house passes the Senate bill betting on reconciliation later, they will have all been had. Obozo will just sign the senate bill into law and be damned with everything and everyone else.

"The budget should be balanced,
the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced,
the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled,
and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.
People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
~ Cicero - 55 BC

Looks like liberals never learn. Good thing our Founding Fathers were well studied in Cicero and put a structure into place with the Constitution. Now it is time to return to 100% votes in the senate to pass a bill as it used to be until the democrats=progressives=marxists changed it to 67 in 1917 and then to 60 in 1975 and now they want to go nuclear option with 50. Talk about a destruction of the Constitution and our founding principles. Let's return to them before further destruction is done.
