Dear Senator Scott Brown:

I hope when this is over you will sleep, uninterrupted for several days, because no one has earned it more than you. Then I hope you will take the time to read each and every one of the over 1,200 Blogs on the Brown Brigade so that you can fully realize, appreciate, and enjoy the heartfelt admiration and gratitude of all those who campaigned, supported and prayed for you, not just from all over the country, but from all over the world. I got chills reading the things written to and about you, so I can’t imagine what it will be like for you. Win or loose, you have mobilized a nation, in the course of which you have brought great pride to so very many of us who live here in Massachusetts, and have given us, once again, the opportunity to sound the “Shot heard around the world.”

I think I can speak for the over 6500 members of the Brown Brigade, all those who voted for you, and the hundreds of thousands across the country who thanked and prayed for you and us, when I say this race has become far more than about Health Care or any particular issue. It has been made resoundingly clear from the vast majority of those who have supported you to this point in time, that; “WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK”. We want to go back to the values and principals upon which this great country was founded, and in the quest for such, you have awoken the masses, and shown that you are one who can initiate the process to get us there. We want our government to work for and serve us, not the other way around, and we want corruption obliterated to the greatest extent possible, which, THAT, in and of itself would dramatically REDUCE our national deficit.

Whatever happens from here forward, we know the adversity that lies ahead, and we will not judge you on what you accomplish, but rather on what you attempt to accomplish for “We the People.” We thank you for what you have done to this point in time to unite us, and pray for where we might go from here. We wish you Godspeed to Washington, and, if things go as we hope, we will unite again to support sending you to the Oval Office. You made us proud to support you, and proud of Massachusetts. You took the high road throughout, and gave us newfound hope.

God Bless YOU and your family, and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Sincerely,

Kristi L. Devine

PS Your girls are absolutely lovely, and did an outstanding job throughout your campaign – another testament to your values and greatness.

Terry, this is for you. It is the flag that flies on the USS Constitution, picture taken by Lawrence Benson of Fla., another great patriot who fights for our rights daily:

THANKS John for keeping us posted. No matter how good it felt, it still got scary at times to even contemplate a defeat, much as I never thought we wouldn't win. Here's a blurry pic from the Park Plaza right after we knew he won. I think it is befitting to use the blurry one (have a better one), but that was the feeling of the moment. The flag is specific to the 2nd Revolution. Here we go.
