Dear Brown Brigade,

One year ago on January 19th, we stood together, defied the naysayers, and sent a very powerful message to Washington that resonated throughout the entire country and shook up the political establishment.

Without your support, my election would not have been possible, and I am very grateful for everything you did.

You helped me fight back against all the mudslinging and negative personal attacks from the political machine and the special interest groups determined to see us lose.

Believe it or not, even though my re-election is still nearly two years away, the political machine is already starting to ratchet up the rhetoric and the attacks against me.  I opposed cap and trade, amnesty for college-aged illegal immigrants, Obamacare and the excessive spending and higher taxes sought by the special interests and Washington insiders. I refuse to sponsor earmarks. And I have always made your concerns my top priority.

Just like last year, I am going to need your help not to fight back, but to fight forward.  By joining the Brown Brigade, I need you to join your local Town/City Brigade to meet with fellow supporters.
Getting online to meet with supporters offline is critical to our success.  You can also join us on Facebook, I love hearing your suggestions for better government and your feedback is important whether you agree or disagree with a vote.

Fighting forward means taking the initiative on your own to help develop our statewide grassroots network, and it begins in your town.  If you meet up with fellow Brown Brigadiers in your town, please post your photos on the Brown Brigade and share your experiences with the network.

Thanks again for everything in 2010 and I look forward to seeing you in 2011.

Scott, Congratulations on your One year anniversary. My hubby and I spend it celebrating on the Michigan House floor watching our new Republican governor Rick Snyder give his State of the State address. Shall always remember that wonderful night at the Park Plaza when we shocked the socks off the media.

Hi Peeps.  I've learned the fastest, best way to get a message out to people timely is to post in the comments so please read this.  We need to take action TODAY:

Please visit and consider joining and contributing to this blog:  sosmass.wordpress.com  Most times when I post on here it takes a week or two for the post to appear, and by then, the bill has already come and gone when we could have been more proactive.  I have found comments on the SOSMass blog seem to appear within minutes of being posted, and if more people were participating on it, we could have quite the exchange.  I really want to win in 2012, and I think we have a better chance of doing it together than on a one-by-one basis so check out today's post and help me make calls:  http://sosmass.wordpress.com/2011/01/19/mass-already-has-obamacare/
