What Independence Means

I held a rifle that guarded my nation, America they called it, and proud we were, as we should have been. I was there when our forefathers signed a document that could have been their death warrant on July 4th, 1776, a day forever remembered in history.


I stood my ground at Gettysburg, while brothers and friends fell before my eyes, blood soaking the soil, faces full of fear held at bay as our fellow countrymen attacked us.
