Three Editorials - Take Action

Three Editorials have been released today and I wanted to share them with you:

The Metrowest Daily News wrote:

Our concern here is with the League of Women Voters. If the LWV becomes just another interest group funneling anonymous donations into 30-second negative ads, the nation will have lost something…

The (ahem) League of Women Voters

In the first place the (ahem) League of Women Voters do not speak for the women in this state.  They speak only for themselves, and that's not saying much.

My question is:  Where are they getting all this money for these multi-daily false adds against our Senator-Scott Brown?  These falsifications seem to appear at least once every 30 minutes...when they do, I change the channel so as not to listen to their diatribe.  I would like an investigation into who is supporting them and who…

Our Response

Brigadiers,

We have released a new web ad about my commitment to reduce regulations and red tap to empower businesses to flourish in this difficult economy.

The 'non-partisan' League of Women Voters have attacked me for a vote and I'm asking for your help to respond.

Disclose Bill Vote

Since I take the time to lambaste you on your votes, I must also congratulate you when you vote for "We The People".
Thank You, Scott for voting against this so called Disclose Bill which was in reality a Law to usurp the First Amendment to the Constitution and deny us the right of Free Speech. Thank you again!

To Me

Standing in the backyard, I am surrounded by flags of red, white, and blue. Family and friends mull around tables laden with food and drink. Everyone is happy, talkative, and dressed in their summer best. My… Continue

"Resolve to perform what you ought." -Benjamin Franklin (A July 4th Reflection)

Look at how easy is it to mark the passage of time with the cyclical wanderings of celestial bodies, to weigh the importance of each day with drops of brow sweat. Yes, it is hard it is to focus beyond the grindstone; to cast aside our cares if only for a moment and be complacent with quiet contemplation. It is here, though, that you can ask the questions worth answering.

Independence Day is not just another day that one should let slip by. It was on that…

Fourth of July 2010, cherish it......

I wrote this exactly one year ago today in fear of what was coming with the Obama election and the Democrat majority rule in all branches of government. Add in all the radicals in academia and in the judiciary and what do we have? This is the year we must slow, and begin to reverse, some of these big government, socialistic moves to the left. If we do not, we will forever be remembered as the generation who lost our country as we know it.…

What Independence Day Means to Me

Independence Day signifies our independence as a nation, and our interdependence as a free people. As a holiday that never changes, July 4th is a celebration of itself, marking our lives together with the same picnics, fireworks, and readings of the Declaration of Independence, continuously since our nation’s birth.…

What the 4th of July Means to Me

What Independence Day means to me:

My grandfather landed on Normandy Beach the day after D-Day. He fought for two months marching inland before getting shot outside of Paris. He was so seriously wounded he remained in a French hospital until 1946 when he…

Independence Day

The history of Independence Day is the result of the indictment to the British government of the overwhelming influence it held over the New World settlers and what they had to do to fight for the freedoms we so value today. The resulting struggles, war and salvation from the stranglehold of the British was the creation of the most honored country in the world today. The God fearing men who came together and developed a nation built around our Constitution and Declaration of Independence…

What's The 4Th of July to Me?

I will not quote the founders as I consider the meaning of the 4Th of July. Nor will I pretend to offer original thoughts because, in fairness, those are few and far between.

What remains, however, is sufficient to say that our 4Th of July is a landmark day in the vast expanse of human history.

The 4Th of July is all about Freedom from the attacks on it that are enumerated in the Declaration of Independence and carried through in most cases as specific protective clauses… Continue

What the 4th of July means to me...

On July 4, 1922 14 year old Cecelia saw her first fireworks display.

It was her second day in America, having arrived at Ellis Island two days earlier, only 14, but she had made it to America, a place where she believed the streets were paved with gold.

In a small box was every possession she owned; one change of clothing and photographs of her family.

Working any job available, she attended English school. She never stopped or slept and set her…

All The Way

Hey Scott,
I don't live in Newburyport anymore, so I can't vote for you. But I can support you. Martha may have Mr Obama, but you've got Curt Schilling. Yankee fans need not apply! Congratulations, my friend. The people are behind you because you are behind the people. Keep on truckin', and don't look back....all you'd be able to see is Martha, anyway!

Winston Churchill

There is a new biography out on Winston Churchill. I think the author is Paul Johnson. The following "Churchillian attributes" are so interesting. In particular I need to work on #4. Those of us who are working so hard on behalf of Scott Brown might take a page out of Churchill's handbook:

The author identifies five Churchillian attributes that guided his eventual success: 1) He aimed high, but never cadged or demeaned himself to gain office or objectives, 2) there was no substitute… Continue
