Illegal immigrants and health care

Could you please explain to me why we as American citizens are fined for not having a health care plan while illegal immigrants continue to put a drain on the system using the emergency rooms for their care and its all free. This is not right. We pay for our health care plan through my employer, my son had a 4 month lapse in his care and was fined $300. How is this fair? Why aren't illegals being forced to purchase some form of health care?…

health care talk

With all the talk on Capital Hill this week about healthcare, what do you all know about the Health Savings Account changes in the bill. As a small business owner, we are a bit fearful about what might be coming down the road. Rather than providing health insurance, we offer a substantial portion that goes into a saving account for health costs. Many in our place have insurance… Continue

S. Brown's Rep. response to the disaster which is Obama-care

Loved the speech. Well thought out and inciteful.

Congress is indeed being arrogant and appears to not be listening - tone-deft. - which is not surprising since this railroading process is completely in contradiction to the " will of the people".

I wrote our : blue dog" congressman ( 8th district , Demo, IN. Brad Ellsworth ) and gave him these 4 bits of following advice:

1. The plan is not deficit neutral - contrary to the hopes and wishes of Young ( great campaigning -…

Letter to Bill Delahunt re Obamacare

Following was delivered to Cong. Delahunt's Hyannis office today 3/17:

Congressman W. Delahunt

10th District of Mass.

146 Main St.

Hyannis MA 02601

Dear Congressman:

You are about to be presented with an opportunity to end your political career honorably by voting against the health-care bill that provides for public funding of abortion.

Teddy Kennedy is dead; now you can vote your own conscience instead of his. You owe nothing more to… Continue

Linda

Good job... Although I don't live in MA. I did contribute a small amount to your election fund. So far I have not regretted doing so. Tell Nancy, Harry and Obama to resign. The people of this country are not fooled by them anymore. They are Socialists and are trying to ruin our Country for their own personal gains. They really should be impeached. I hope someone has the "smarts" to start the ball rolling to do just that.

While I understand your desire for non patisanship, I am a little dissappointed with your vote on the "jobs" bill.

I believe I am "small business" and I don't really see any benefit in any of the stimulus/jobs bills. If I had the demand to hire more people, I would do it. A small reduction in a portion of SS tax means nothing to me! I am trying to keep my current employees employed and keep our doors open. A moritorium on SS taxes for current employees would be much more helpful. When…

Patricia from Cape Coral, FL

I am from Florida and I gladly donated funds to your campaign for senate. Thank you to the people of Massachusetts for having the courage to vote for the people even if we live in Florida.

Pres Obama is following the Rules for Radicals (by Saul Alinsky) to the tee. The reason he doesn't appear to be concerned about jobs is that he needs to creat havoc in the country (one of the "Rules") so the "people" will become desperate enough to reach out to the government for help…

Thank you for your service!

Scott,

Thanks for standing solid against the National HC bill. You are saving the lives of my parents and many seniors that I love, by rejecting the bill with 500 bill in cuts to medicare. Can the gov. fix soical security and medicare before forcing another unsustainable entitlement program on us?

The HC mandates imposed on us in this state are killing small business. March 1-8, Govenor Patrick collected sm business testimony from Hyannis, Boston, Fitchburg, Lawrence,…

MORE BROWN SUPPORT

Even though we the people of Massachusetts elected Scott Brown as our new US Senator, we need more of the US Senate to get behind Senator Brown. Even though he is a junior senator, he brings a fresh new voice for the people of not only Massachusetts but the entire country. He speaks what the people in this country think and he needs more political support from a lot of the senior senators and members of congress who are fed up with the partisan backroom deals being made on our…

Last Chance Effort

Senator Brown,

I agree with everything you said in your broadcast. President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the Democrats are determined to ram this government-run health care program down the throats of the American people. They

firmly believe in what they are doing, because their mindset is that government grants rights to people and big government solves problems - not the people and not the private sector in this country. Having the government control one…

Astonishing and Refreshing

The arrogance of the Democratic Leadership is truly astonishing! No matter how failed their bill and message has been, they think they know better than the overwhelming majority of the people, and pay lip service to bipartisanship. In constrast, while Senator Brown's message is bold it is yet refreshingly frank and unassuming. Should this health care takeover disaster happen, hopefully leadership from the likes of Senator Brown can give us some hope for the future to pick up whatever peices are… Continue

Radio address

Sen. Brown did a great job on the radio address. I sent his campaign $35 although I only made $30K in a down year. It was money well spent, my country is worth it.

Working Health Care the wrong way...

What's wrong with this picture...If we pass a Health Care Bill where is the provision to build the infrastructure to graduate more Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurses and other care givers. Who do you send to some itty bitty town in the middle of Wyoming or Iowa to provide care to those that can not help themselves?

The Census Bureau posted report in 2008 that counted all the health care providers..400,000 Doctors of ALL specialties..800,000 Nurses of ALL specialties. Do the math 320,000… Continue

Make the most of it!

Loved your reply to President's ramblings. Clearly the message you bring to Washington is so clearly the view of the average American and therefore so strong, it has forced it's way onto the stage. Personally I think your vote to move the spending bill for jobs forward demonstrated exactly what the citizens of the Commonwealth and the Nation are looking for. Someone who can get past ugly politics and do what is good for the people they represent. It in so many ways under cuts the false charge… Continue

Just the right message

We heard snippets of your speech on the radio and were very favorably impressed. Now that we have listened to your entire message we are even more impressed. You are hitting just the right message, with just the right tone. My husband and I want to encourage you to keep on keeping on. You are a breath of fresh air for our state and our country. God bless you, Scott.

Republican Response

Thank you !

Within a quarter mile of where I live, on top of small wooded hill sits a small stone walled cemetery where a Captian from the Revolutionary War rests. I often think of how proud Captian Shoales would be of Senator Scott Brown.

I, would also be proud to vote for Scott Brown for President in the next Presidential election. We must change the current direction of our ellected officials for the sake of those who originally gave us our freedoms.

Agreed

I agree with everything you're saying. It makes so much sense to me. What doesn't make sense is this bill that is so complex and so expensive and we the people don't know the first thing about it. Too many folks are just trusting that it is going to be good for the country but don't know the details of the bill. The other thing that is astonishing is that the President on more than one occasion has stated he thinks he knows what is best for us but I don't recall having a say in whether or not… Continue
