Job Spike for the Holiday Season... that's all

Dear Senator Brown,I am concerned about the new unemployment numbers and people perceiving this might be a growth in quality career opportunities for folks.  Couldn't this just be a reflection of a seasonal spike in minimum wage retail jobs that will disappear after the holiday gift rush is over?  Will people gain health plans with these jobs? Add to their retirement plans or family's college funds with these opportunities? And of course the statisticians don't adjust this figure for people who…See More

"Bob, just got the heads up you signed up for the campaign.  I had the impression at the Eire Pub that you had previous experience in campaigning.  If you want to brainstorm some of the basics, get back to me.  If you know anyone on…"

Why I joined Senator Brown's Campaign

I joined Senator Brown's campaign because there is too much polarization of ideas in Washington and no representation of the average person.  This condition has led to a crisis of leadership which has paralyzed the government.  Senator Brown has been effective amid this crisis.  I am particularly impressed by his legislation stopping members of Congress from using insider information to their own economic advantage.  Consider the level of corrupt influence this single act has eliminated. On the…See More

Profile Information

Re-elect Scot Brown to the Senate and earn bragging rights that you participated in the process.  I am a veteran campaigner and would like to help other activists with any number of campaign activities:

1) Standouts.  Standing at local events with a sign to show support alerts neighbors and acquaintances of your choice.  If you have an event (town meeting, parade, etc.) and some friends to stand with, I will get you signs.

2)Street captains.  Organize interested neighbors and friends for different tasks that they might enjoy.

a) stuff envelopes together over coffee and donuts for a mailout

b) walk an hour personalizing a literature drop door to door and meet later for pizza

c) schedule your polling station to have standout volunteers with signs election day

3) write letters to the editor of your local paper voicing your support and encourage others to do so

Participate and be part of this historic event!

The Final and Most Important Week

With just a week left, what more can I do than just vote?  You can participate in any number of activities noted below, but first consider the duty of a citizen to serve the community and the process.

Being politically active and supporting a candidate is a lot different than being a sports fan and supporting a team.  When "your team" loses a season, you feel let down, you go back to to your routine and "your team" plays high end golf for six months.  When you support a superb…
