VOLUNTEERS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - The Moral of this Short Story

[BROWN LEADS COAKLEY 50 TO 46. REPORTED TODAY, JANUARY 15TH, 2010].

It was a different time, probably before you were born. The issues were different; the volunteer spirit was not. This is a short story about how volunteers made a difference in who ran for President in 1968.

Lydon Johnson was President. Robert Kennedy had declined to run against Johnson... at first.

Eugene McCarthy stepped in and announced his candidacy. New Hampshire was the first Primary.… Continue

I EXPECTED A MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE APPROACH FROM YOU AND I AM NOT HEARING OR SEEING IT... THIS IS NOT A TIME TO BE PUSSYFOOTING AROUND... WE HAVE TO BE STRONG IN OUR POLICIES AND BE READY TO FIGHT FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.. I DONT KNOW IF YOU CAN REPRESENT US THE WAY WE NEED TO BE REPRESENTED... THIS IS MY VIEWPOINT....  IF SCOTT WANTS TO REPLY THATS FINE BUT PLEASE NO LECTURES  OR COMMENTS FROM ANYONE ELSE.....

Hi Jane,
I went to the peoples Rally yesterday. I started at the Headquarters in Worcester then moved to Lincoln Square to hold sings in support of Scott then we moved on to Mechanics Hall where it was standing room only. Their were so many people that they had to move down the street to one of the hotels and that didn't even have enough room to hold all of them. Not sure where the rest of the crowd ended up. The rally was awesome the energy was so high it was great. I haven't seen people this riled up in a long time. I grew up here and Main Street is 4 lanes wide and we had it down to one lane barley possible. At one point I think traffic in general was at a complete stop. I stood put again today with a group of people for about 4 hours. Will be driving people who can't get to the polls so to the snow. Then will move on to The Brown headquarters to watch the Election results. Scott Scott he's our man if he can't do it no one can GO Scott!!!! Oops almost forgot he singed both of my homemade signs will hold on to them. I have a felling he will be president one day!! Then they will really be worth something even more to me and my daughter. Her sign read Just say no to COAK don't give in to peer pressure. Mine reads our soldiers fought for our freedom not socialism...

Weather man say theirs going to be a Nor Easter in DC..
And his name is LTC Scott Brown..
Have a great night..

Hi Jane,
I just read on another site that the Chicopee Times put out a comparison of Scott, Kennedy and Coakley. I skimmed the comparison quickly and they were calling Kennedy the Tea party candidate. There was no mention that Scott was endorsed by the Tea Party Express and Tea Party Patriots. No mention of Kennedy's postions to repeal the defense of marriage act or deregulation of marijuana. Nothing about his view of abortion. These positions are listed on his website. Can your people follow up on this?

Went to Mechanics Hall for the Scott Brown Rally what a great turnout it was standing room only with an overflow of people that went to the Crown Plaza. I grew up in the Worcester area, and this is the first time I have seen Main Street down to only two lanes of traffic. It feels wonderful to be a part of History in the Making. Go Scott Go all the way to Washington for the People of this Great Country!!!!
