Love GivesTo give to my neighbor widow, wearable tapestry from the world traversed. To give to the dying woman, comfort memory of a homeland distant. To give to the hard-worked woman crushed, a ruby of heart's love lore.To pray for security's freedom, for a man's discarded wife.To heal the pain inflicted by a world's indifferent stance. To hear, to listen, to be present to a heart crying to be heard.Do I matter? Does it matter at all that I am? If my breath in silence stopped, would anyone…See More

Return of the Statesmen

On a whirlwind round-trip from Boulder (Colorado) to Boston that lasted less than 48 hours, I had the great honor of meeting Senator Brown, as I was one of the runners-up in the July 4th essay contest. The one that made the deepest impression was Faneuil Hall "The Cradle of Liberty." Sitting in one of the old…See More

United We Stand

July 4th is the day that we stand with our Founder Fathers celebrating our identity as Americans. Their dreams, dedication, and sacrifice survive to this day as the fabric of our country so gloriously embodied by The Flag. The virtues of liberty and justice are reborn each time we place our hand over our heart pledging allegiance to this great nation. We stand on the foundation built by their lives, becoming their vision of freedom and opportunity each time we proclaim "We the people…" America…See More

Hi Abraham,

Kanning Kagen for US Supreme Court

In her words "Ever since Werner Sombart first posed the question in 1905, countless historians have tired to explain why there is no socialism in America. For the most part, this work focused on external factors--on features of American society rather than of American socialist movements" Ms. Kagen's 1981 Senior Thesis at Princeton University. What is relevant about Werner Somart speaking in 1905 and a student writing her senior paper in 1981. Werner Sombart was a German economist and sociologist, the head of the "Youngest Historical School" and one of the leading Continental European social scientist during the first quarter of the 20th century.
