I'm Taking the 19th Off From Work

Join me in taking a personal or sick day on Election Day, January 19th. The goal of electing Scott Brown is too important to not spend all of this historic Election Day working toward a better Massachusetts.

Brian has it right! From speaking with Brad at headquarters, the most effective thing that we can all do to help is to get on the phones and make those calls! It's not hard to do and will be the difference in Scott succeeding. If you can't make it into one of the call centers (which is tremendously rewarding as you can be with other zealots) you can call from home. It's working so far!

Even though I run a small solar energy business, I will stand out at my precinct with a Scott Brown sign. Martha is a sell-out to the special interests: the trial lawyers, Big Unions, Big insurance...

Joe and others - my guess would be - to make more calls. I hear ya on the weather thing too, and getting people out to the polls, but . . . I don't know if the campaign has the tactics to know where / when to go (if you know what I mean). One approach may also be to get in touch with your town / city's GOP committee and see what they say. They may know best what needs there are locally. But, again, I think we should let the campaign give us our marching orders.

The two best things for everyone to do on Election Day is either make calls or door knock. The calls can be made from any of the Brown offices around the state. You can also make calls from the comfort from home. GOTV phone calls will win this election for Scott. The campaign website has details about the call from home program, and where the local offices are located.

I don't know how this would work but does anyone know if a campaign office can organize transportation for people to the polls on election day. My concern is, with all this global warming we are having this winter, the 19th could be a rough day and prevent some folks from getting out and voting. I am willing to take the day off and drive people in the greater Boston area to their voting station in my 4x4 vehicle. I plan on swinging the by the Needham office tomorrow, but if any one has answer for me or thinks this is a good idea then let me know. Either way count me in.

I'll stand at the polls with my yard sign but I'm not sure that is the most useful activity -- Anybody have a better idea? I'll do whatever it takes. (Well, almost anything . . . !)

I'm off too . . . many many calls yet to make. This is doable. We are within striking distance. Keep up the pressure.

I am going to take the day off as well. I am going to get my yard sign and fasten it to a pole and stand in front of my local polling spot with it.

I am self-employed...but I am still taking the day off of work. I may lose money in the short-term. But, working on getting Scott elected will help me save lots of money in the long term! We NEED to have this seat go to Scott!!! Get Out the Vote!

Not only did I take the day off work, my management initially overrode my schedule to put me on...requiring my store manager to overrule all of that to ensure I could have the day off to help pitch-in for Scott Brown!
