Thanks for the long and informative reply Emmy. I do agree with you that for Scott to get re-elected in this state, he has to keep the Independents and some of the Liberals happy. But this Financial Reform Bill, just went too far, for me. I doesn't address all of the problem.
I can't understand why, but the people in New Bedford and Fall River, keep voting for Barney, just like they did for Gerry Studds. He'll probably get elected again.
Who, if anybody are you supporting now? I'm trying to help out Perry for Congress and Keyes for State Senate, he's running against Therese Murry's seat. Finally somebody is running against her. I usually have to do a write in on my Ballot, "Anybody Else Please" when she's up for re-election.

Robert, People do still come to Brown Brigade to communicate with each other as well as to express pleasure or disappointment with Scott's decisions, statements and votes. There is no question you are not alone in your thoughts about Scott's work thus far. I too have been disappointed with several of his choices but have been very pleased and proud of others. I think it is important for us to understand the very unusual position in which he has been placed. An entire nation waits breathlessly for his next thought. Of course he knew this when elected and did promise to look at each bill individually. What WE must continue as constituents is to communicate with him often, substantively and respectfully which it appears you are doing as well. I have found the most effective way to reach him is either call the DC or Boston office or email him via his US Senate site: www.scottbrown.senate.gov . There is a "Contact Scott" option there and though it is necessaery to provide contact info like name, email address, phone, etc. you have an opportunity to make an extended conmment on any topic you wish. As I have done so, I have received timely and pertinent responses to several concerns. As I have posted elsewhere, I am not naive enough to believe he writes them all personally but I do know that the responses have been informative, address specifics I have mentioned and often provide a bit more insight into his rationale. I DO truly believe that his number one priority is taking steps to make things better for Massachusetts. He will often say in his comments that a bill is not perfect, could use more work, etc but that there was some good for the Commonwealth involved and he based his decision on such factors. I agree that his vote on Financial Reform was a mistake, have emailed him to inform him so (both before and after) I have also seen him at several personal appearances since being sworn in, have spoken with him individually and do feel he wants to continue to hear from us and considers seriously what we as constituents say. The atmosphere is so toxic and divisive right now in DC and is clearly being fueled to be even more so as supporters of the Obama radical progressive agenda panic that they will lose clout as the mid term elections approach. You are absolutely right about Dodd and Frank also. THey will soon be gone however...Dodd for sure and I think Barney has a race on his hands in the fall. Problems in the nation loom so large right now that action to make things better and protect the very USA as we know it, that any type of scapegoating for these devious politicians who have done such harm to our nation is less of a priority than getting them OUT OF OFFICE and focusing on steps to limit the damage they have done.
I am not yet ready to give up on Scott. I think those of us who worked so hard to elect him owe it to ourselves and to the nation to continue our vigilance by communicating with Scott responsibly, respectfully and often. Another place to find good and timely info from him is following him on Twitter which I believe you can access right through Brown Brigade. Instead of allowing ourselves to feel betrayed quite yet, we must remember that we have tremendous power that can and should be expressed loudly and clearly with our voices and our votes. More than ever our participation in the ongoing affairs of government is crucial and the very future of our country depends on it. Keep expressing yourself, reading, blogging and above all...BE IN TOUCH WITH OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS!...ALL of them...Brown, Kerry and members of Congress.Emmy

I'm not sure if anybody is still on this site.
I'm not very happy with Scott, right now, on his financial reform bill, siding with the Democrats. This bill certainly should have included reforms for Fannie and Freddie. But instead, provides a cover up for Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. Neither of these guys were held responsible for their share of screwing up the economy.
It seems that he forgot what we got him elected for.

Scott Brown wants a sea of red, white and blue ACROSS the internet!
This is what we ALL need to do next.

Please change your profile picture to support Scott Brown

My profile pictures are now "Scott Brown US Senate, January 19" through Jan., 19. You will look smashing in blue as well.

Just right click on my Scott Brown profile above and save picture. Then go to your home page and change your profile. We might need this as a backup if they refuse to seat Scott. We can send the congress and senate to the internet to see what they are facing in November.
