Mr. Brown should stay out of McCain's reelection fight in Arizona. McCain, though extremely honorable with a long service to America, is as much part of the problem in this country as the progressives on the other side of the isle. We don't need any progressive Republicans in office any more than we need progressive Democrats.
Senator elect Brown would do well to avoid such ties.

Permalink Reply by Brian Frazier on February 24, 2010 at 7:29pm I didn't support McCain for President, but please...you think his opponent is an improvement? I judge a politician by the totality of his work and by that standard McCain has been a great American and a great Republican. He cast some votes you disagree with so you want to get rid of him for a radio announcer who couldn't hold a safe house seat? Hey, the reason the guy is going after McCain's seat is because he needs a job! It's fine to get behind getting rid of McCain, that's your right even though I completely disagree with the sentiment. But I've heard a lot of McCain bashing and I've yet to hear anyone make the case for his opponent other than the fact that he's "that guy who's running against McCain." It's this kind of circular firing squad that Ronald Reagan always opposed when he rebuilt the conservative movement AND built a Repbublican party that had members who didn't agree with him on every issue. If you dont like "progresssives" just see who gets that Senate seat if McCain is defeated (which won't happen).
Permalink Reply by Barry on February 24, 2010 at 10:38pm I've got news for you...none of his opponents are "progressive".
If you want to know about them use google. They have web sites.

Permalink Reply by Barry on March 12, 2010 at 12:40am Well said Alfred! I would also add that Olympia Snowe, Lindsay "Gramnesty" Graham, Susan Collins, John McCain and a dishearteningly-large amount of their wobbly, supposedly "Republican" peers all pose a very real threat to any establishment of a unified front against the Progressive enemies of our country and our individual liberties. Any strenously stated "Independent" or "Maverick" stance on any particular issue is NOT, in my humble opinion, a laudable position. It speaks less to the practitioner's political/pragmatic or patriotic savvy and more to that individual's egotism and lust for prominence. Staunch support of all that is constitutional, established and venerable FAR outweighs any personal gains, whether they be material or in the form of public prominence.....

Permalink Reply by Barry on March 15, 2010 at 11:02pm Be careful about JD - we experienced him once already in Arizona. I won't be voting for McCain but then I wouldn't support Brown again either. I'm going to wait and see who else throws their hat in the ring. McCain has to go, he needs to take his daughter with him but JD was a vote for the "Bridge to No Where" and he didn't live up to his conservative promises the first time around in Congress and I doubt he'll do any better this time around.
Permalink Reply by Dan Adams on March 15, 2010 at 11:29pm I'd have to know more about the bridge to nowhere vote. Sadly the system is so dishonest that bills are lumped together that have nothing to do with each other and before you know if you have voted for cable TV for martians and don't even know it. That of course is no excuse for not reading bills but even so tey are so bloated the its dfficult to see all the devils in the detail. No matter who is in there they should not be trusted. They could bring Ronald Reagan back to life and it wouldn't be wise to trust him with power. What made him great is he understood that.

Please stay out of the primary; if McCain wins so be it; I do believe he is part of he problem, but if he wins the primary - so be it, as I said - then would be the time to support him, if he wins.
Newt screwed up in the New York primary last year, should have never gotten involved in the primary - his office has called me three times - I will not contribute to him EVER again.
