I'm still waiting to hear or read a position statement from Scott! There's is no way I can support any more RINO's the likes of Mitt, Weld or the Celluce. Where can I get his position on things like The Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc ? Is he an NRA member ? THX; Dave Mac Eachern

I agree with this statement. I am tired of voting for the lesser of two liberals. In a democrat run state, the majority of people will vote for the democrat, and others will stay home if both candidates are equal on all or most issues. I believe most people in this state support personal liberty and freedom and want and deserve a clear choice between candidates. I would like to know where Scott stands on free speech, the 2nd amendment, taxes, property rights, life issues, tax payer abortions, immigration, and government intrusion on health care. Before I get a bumper stick or yard sign, I need to know where Scott stands. If he has posted these issues could someone please direct me to them?

Thank you. Tom Blushi
Dave and Tom,

Did you see the article in the Boston Herald about Scott filing legislation to expand the Good Samaritan law? Here's the link for it: http://news.bostonherald.com/news/politics/view.bg?articleid=1208546

In the article, he's quoted as saying: "We should be protecting people who put their lives at risk to prevent further crime." That's not a liberal statement. Crime is seeping into towns and places that were once safe and there's not always a police officer within earshot. This legislation would help to protect those people who are helping others in dire situations.

Also, check out the bio on his website. Here's the link: http://brownforussenate.com/senator-brown

There are statements there such as: "He is a free-market advocate who believes our strength as a nation flows from its people." That, too, is not a liberal statement.

Here's a link to a post explaining that the issues page is being finalized. Scroll to the comment by Beth Lindstrom. http://brownbrigade.ning.com/profiles/blogs/on-issues?id=3990693%3A...

I hope that helps a little.

Denise: I don't read the Boston rags as Boston is eons away from the rest of rural Mass. We are fed up with Boston pols making insane laws that have no bearing on how we live outside of the big citiy. If any candidate for ANY office does not support the 2nd Amendment, as written and intended, I won't support them. Mitt became a member of the NRA after he passed many onerous anti-gun bills and then decided to run for Pres. That makes him and his ilk a RINO ! If Scott doesn't make it abundantly clear on his position on ALL these hot topic items he won't make it. Thanks for hearing my rantings but I'm fed up with the politics of Taxachusetts. DaveMac
Dave;

Welcome to the forum. Don't hold your breath waiting for a response. Congress can add another 1000 pages to the Health Care Bill before you see a response. I have been asking the same questions for weeks. I am tired of waiting for this campaign to post any position statements on issues. Perhaps I'll run on a sticker campaign. If I do, you will know my Top 10 issues before I publish my website.

If Scott Brown is waiting for the Boston media to promote his positions he might as well stay home. This forum has had several people who want a reason to support him get stonewalled on this matter of publishing his position on key issues. When it comes to websites, Content is King! Scott Brown website has no content.

OK ! Glad you posted the "Issues" as I was starting to worry. I would like a statement on illegals and what Scott would would do about them and closing our borders. I'll try to get my friends to visit the website now that I'm sure of his position. THX; Dave Mac
Scott is a fiscal conservative and pro military. As a state senator, he has a very strong voting record against spending.
Gun laws are very state specific. Mr. Brown probably has more control over your ability to own a gun in Massachusetts as a state senator than he will as a U.S. senator.
Teddy Boy had more control over Mass state gun laws than you'll ever know. Ever heard of the Division of Civilian Marksmanship ? A Division of the US Army that supplies weapons and ammo to civilian shooter programs to encourage marksmanship especially amongst younsters. Well Teddy single handedly cut the budget for this program some years ago. ... AND Mass. is violating the Second Amendment by requiring citizens keep ALL guns locked while in the home thus denying the right to self defense. If a candidate does NOT openly support the Constitution & Bill of Rights (inc. the 2nd) then he won't get my vote. Dave Mac
Charlie, I'm also an NRA Life, Instructor & GOAL Sustaining member. This mornings Cape Cod Times front page profile on Scott is headlined with "Brown says voters ready for a GOP Moderate". Weld, Cellucci, and Mitt were all moderates,ie; RINO's! Cellucci gave us the "Worst in the Nation" gun laws. Mitt joined the NRA when he decided to run for pres. They are all a bunch of phonies in my book and it appears Mr. Brown is telling the Brown Brigade one thing and the public another but I guess that's what politicians do. Read Charles Krauthammers article today about the recent Gallup Poll that found conservatives outnumber liberals 2 to 1 (40% to 20%) and outnumber moderates by 36%. I'll vote for Scott as the lesser of the two evils but I'm not supporting him and I'm taking my name off this blog. Dave Mac
