A vote for more stimulus? Are you kidding? What a joke!
Sir, you will have a very short career in the Senate!

Permalink Reply by lindsey vonn on February 22, 2010 at 10:10pm I know we are all a little disappointed at first glance but let's take a look at this from a bigger picture perspective. He is going to have to pick and choose his battles very carefully. He is from a very liberal state. This was not a deciding vote. The amount of this bill is small in relative terms. Unless I missed something in this bill there was not much of a restriction on our freedoms and liberties (as opposed to Obozocare). Very rarely does a politician vote the same you would have 100% of the time.
So yes, while I would have liked to have seen a different vote, I am not ready to throw him under the bus. Yet.
Permalink Reply by Matthew Ball on February 23, 2010 at 12:10am I agree with 1789 Patriot. We should be careful with a "litmus test" for anyone. Scott has to represent his state first. Cut the guy some slack. Let time direct any frustration. It has got to be lonely for him against all that opposition. How about we put energy into getting him some supportive collegues to back him up. Keep the bus off him for now. But, a firm grip ready to release the handbrake.

Permalink Reply by Marie Keogh on February 23, 2010 at 5:40am You are all fools.
Can't you see, you have a good senator.
He wants to create jobs.
Don't listen to 1789 Patriot and Bradman. Oh, I forgot, Flynn also.
They do their thinking with their johnsons.
Be open minded. Read all you can about what S.B. has to say.
He advocates for you, all of you.
I'm being sincere.
It's a vote only to debate the jobs bill.
It's a small bill-$15 million; it's for small businesses.
I think you can live with that.
Some are already contemplating, though hesitantly, with thoughts of throwing S.B. under the bus. Even talking about "but, a firm grip ready to release the handbrake."
My previous comments were sarcasm; reflected from the panic some of you had display.
Be patient.
