Starting on the Campaign

I officially joined the Brown Campaign as an intern this morning, and the enthusiasm in the office is growing with every new member of the team. I cannot wait to learn the ropes and delve into campaigning. The experience that I will gain from working on this campaign is unique and cannot be reproduced in a classroom. College may prepare us for the real world, but there comes a point where we must jump in and experience it for ourselves.See More

Voted Once, Voting Again

I can still remember the first time I voted. I have lived in Chelsea, Massachusetts my entire life and from the moment when I could finally understand what Tim Russert was saying on Meet the Press, I eagerly awaited the day when I would become a part of the democratic process. That day came Freshman year of college. I had narrowly missed out on the heated 2008 Presidential race and I was not about to let the most important Senate race in the country slip from my grasp. It was snowing out, the…See More

Excited for Summer!

I'm so excited to start my internship with Scott Brown's campaign this summer. This past spring, I interned with the campaign two days a week, and this summer I will be coming in five days a week. I have already learned so much, and I can't wait to learn more!

Getting involved in an important campaign

In the offices today for my first day working on the Scott Brown campaign! I've been involved with Massachusetts Republicans since working for Charlie Baker's gubernatorial campaign in 2010. That year was an important one for Republicans nationwide, especially when Scott Brown first made history in the January Special Election.

This year, we've got a Massachusetts Republican making a run for the White House, but we've also got to hold on to the gains we made in 2010. That's why I'm…

Balancing the Federal Budget

Creating a balanced budget is going to be incredibly important for the American economy over the next ten years while the rest of the world deleverages.  While other countries, such as China, continue to increase their growth in GDP, the world is beginning to look elsewhere for a source of a stable currency away from the United States Dollar, which would make debt issuance incredibly difficult once the larger countries base their currencies off of another reserve currency.  Typically,…

Work Experience at Campaign

I started working at the Scott Brown Campaign HQ on May 7th.  So far I have really enjoyed my experience.  I have been able to gain real hands on experience on a political campaign working closely with the staff and doing some jobs that I would not normally get do if I were in a college classroom.
